UniBw AI Retreat 2024

The retreat aims to provide doctoral students in machine learning and artificial intelligence with a platform for technical and applied-level exchange and networking.

Researchers from the public sector are invited to engage with AI PhD students, fostering an exchange of information on methods and applications.

The retreat offers a space for presenting research and gathering feedback while facilitating discussions with domain experts in security studies. It encourages a fruitful exchange of ideas and perspectives, supported by a series of specialized lectures that bridge the fields of AI and security.

Additionally, the event includes an advanced tutorial on the PyTorch framework for experienced users and experts. There will also be an Open Science course to explore project organization and reproducible research practices.

The retreat will conclude with a panel discussion on "Artificial Intelligence and Global Security."
