The conference will take place on October 17 and 18 2025 at the campus of the Bundeswehr University Munich. Under the guiding theme “Building Resilience: Preventing and Understanding Traumatic Stress while Fostering Peaceful Societies”, participants can look forward to a diverse two-day program featuring engaging presentations, distinguished keynote lectures, and a thought-provoking panel discussion on a wide range of topics addressing both individual and collective consequences of traumatic experiences.
Registration for the conference is possible until October 6th, 2025 (9am). The conference will be held in English.

Information on video and audio recording
Please be aware that this is a closed event where photographs will be taken and lectures may be broadcast live to enable participation of international audiences. It cannot be ruled out that you may be directly or indirectly identifiable as a member of the audience in photos or live streams. If you prefer not to be seen or heard during the live broadcast, we kindly ask you to submit your questions to the speakers in writing in advance. Photographs will be used for public relations purposes by the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Trauma Therapy (legal basis for data processing: Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. e, paras. 2 and 3 GDPR in conjunction with § 3 BDSG) and may be published on the UniBw website. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the photographer directly. Any unused photographs will be deleted immediately after the event. Published photographs will be removed from our online platforms and deleted no later than seven years after publication.

Data Processing
By ordering a conference ticket, you consent to the processing of the data you provide in the registration portal by the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Trauma Therapy at UniBw M for the purpose of participating in the event “Building Resilience: Preventing and Understanding Traumatic Stress while Fostering Peaceful Societies”. Data processing (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a, Art. 7 GDPR; additionally, for UniBw M employees: § 26 para. 2 BDSG) includes the preparation of a participants list with first and last name as well as email address, the generation of anonymized statistical evaluations, and the preparation of a name badge for the event. For external participants, this additionally includes forwarding your name to the campus security in order to grant access to the conference venue. The data may be accessed by staff members of the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Trauma Therapy and will be deleted no later than four weeks after the event.
